NA-137 Eickhorn 2nd Model Navy Dagger
A clean and crisp piece here. The blade has the fouled anchor etch that has been cleaned and has some age grey throughout. It is properly maker marked on the reverse by Eickhorn's later-period over the shoulder stamped (not etched) maker mark. The tip is perfect and there is no sharpening. The blade rates Exc+. The blade also retains its brown buffer pad. The brass, lightning bolt scabbard has a couple bumps/wear to the lower quarter of the scabbard, but still looks great. Both throat retaining screws are intact and unturned. The brass fittings are nicely detailed with excellent quality finish throughout. The button is in good working condition. The white celluloid grip is chip and crack free, which is hard to come by anymore. This piece has all of the correct Eickhorn components and is looking for someone to take it home. Overall this piece rates Exc+
$850

NA-5038 Horster Navy Dagger
Here's a Horster navy for you guys. The sailing ship etched blade has been beautifully executed, there is minor evidence it's been cleaned. The dark etched horster maker mark looks awesome! The tip and fit are perfect! And there are no nicks to the edges, no pitting or oxidization or damage of any kind! The blade a solid Exc++. The buffer pad remains intact. The button works well. The lightning bolt scabbard looks great! It has some gilt loss yet continues to remain dent free! Both throat retaining screws remain intact. The crossguard and pommel area nicely detailed with even wear. The wood based celluloid covered grip does have one split to the top, but the rest of the grip is untarnished. The wire wrap remains in excellent condition. Overall rates Exc+/Exc++.

The twisted brass wire wrap is perfect and remains tightly secured. This is a decent piece for a good price. Overall Exc+.

The original red felt buffer pad looks worn and remains intact. The button works well. The dent free lightning bolt scabbard remains looks good with period wear. NA-139 WKC Navy Dagger
Here's a desirable Navy we picked up at the MAX. I made a concerted effort to locate some nice Navy daggers and in particular orange gripped Navy daggers. Guess what? These have all but dried up. The fouled anchor blade is in excellent condition with just some pitting towards the tip. The etch is super and the stamped WKC knights head looks great! A nice blade rating Exc+/Exc++. The original red felt buffer bad remains intact. The lightning bolt scabbard looks good, it has even wear throughout with one hit towards the tip and evidence of honest period wear. The crossguard and pommel are nicely detailed and remain in good condition .The orange grip is in excellent condition with just a wee couple mm hairline under the portepee. You will have to go looking to find it but it's there and Yes, I am anal!! It's pretty cool when you can see the evidence of what UV light can do to grips see the two different shades of orange to the front and back of the grip. The fine wire wrap remains nice and tight. This piece also comes with a correctly tied Navy knot. Overall this piece rates Exc+/Exc++
$1695

NA-142 WKC Navy Dagger
Here's a nice piece with a portepee, warm orange grip and beautiful sailing ship etch! A nice blade on this piece! There is the odd light scratch towards the tip and a bit of age grey throughout but it continues to look great with a beautiful etch, a perfect tip, no damage and a nicely stamped WKC Knights head maker mark. The blade rates Exc++. The original red felt buffer pad remains intact. The button works well. The dent free lightning bolt scabbard remains looks good. There is some period wear and spotting throughout. Both throat retaining screws remain unturned and intact. The crossguard and pommel look great and remain nicely detailed. The warm trylon orange grip looks great. There are a few small hairlines on the grip at the pommel and one at the lower crossguard fit, these are hidden by the portepee but if you pull the portepee back you can find them. It remains chip-free. I love how the trylon turns orange with age. This piece is nice and tight and doesn't wiggle (as so many of these do). This piece also comes with a correctly tied navy portepee, which is in awesome condition! This piece rates a solid Exc++

NA-148 F. W. Höller 2nd Model Navy Dagger
Here's a beautiful untouched example that you can tell has been this way for 75 plus years! The desirable sailing ship etch on this piece is nice. It has some age toning throughout but there is no damage, the tip is perfect and the etch and maker mark are beautifully executed! The blade rates an Exc+. The buffer pad remains intact. Both screws remain intact and unturned. The brass lightning bolt scabbard shows wear for sure but not abuse. There is some age evidence to it along with one hit to the leading edge in the lower quarter of the scabbard. The scabbard button works as it should. The brass hilt and pommel are textbook Höller with the long tips to the quillions and the majestic eagle which IMHO is way better than the Eickhorn and WKC by a country mile! Take a second and look how the gilt remains to the crevices, this looks great. The grip is in great shape and wrapped with the springy wire wrap that is textbook Höller. It has a few marks but nothing to worry about and it continues to remain chip and crack free. The portepee on this piece looks awesome! You can tell that that knot has been that way for a very long time, it's welded on!!, really cool! Overall this piece rates an Exc++ and is a great buy!

NA-128 Beauty Eickhorn 2nd Model Navy
Here's a beauty that was picked up at the 2011 SOS. Blade is a fouled anchor etch that is nice and dark. It's got that frosted look with just a hint of age. Look at how black the etch is!!! Properly maker marked on the reverse by Eickhorn with the later-period stamped, (not etched) maker mark. The tip is perfect. It rates Mint-. The blade retains it's textbook tan buffer pad. The outside of this dagger is just killer!! Fittings are nicely detailed brass with excellent quality finish throughout with 99.9% of factory lacquer to the crossguard and pommel. Button functions quite fine. It's actually so rare to see this much lacquer that most guys don't even know what they're looking at. See on these daggers the highlights were polished to a mirror finish while the background were left matte. The result is a unique sparkle to these polished highlights. The swas. winks right back at you!! The scabbard is about as good as it gets with 99.9% of factory lacquer remaining to the brass. There are a couple bumps that I have taken great pains to give you the worse view of. Yes I'm anal about this stuff... so you don't have to be! Both throat retaining screws are intact. Grip is chip and crack free. You do not find Navy daggers in this shape any more. Sure you can buy 'em cheaper but this is the piece that will make people stop and look twice! All the correct Eickhorn components, never been apart or played with. One of the nicest Navy daggers I've had in years! Expensive? Yes and find another one in this shape. NM

Divers Knifes

DV-1 Navy Divers Knife
Rare rare rare! Here's a piece missing from most 3rd Reich collections. Many are afraid of it cause they made these pre 3rd Reich and it can be difficult to verify the period they were made. Blade full length unsharpened example. It's got some staining and evidence it's been cleaned. It is properly marked on the reverse with the stamped Wagner and Lange maker mark used during the 3rd Reich. The tip is perfect. It's tang is secured with an unturned waterproof nut in the end of the grip. It rates Exc+/Exc++ which is really good for a knife with a steel blade for use in salt water. The hilt of this thing is a missive thing that just weighs a ton. It's all turned on a lathe and finally the grip rings have been knurled. Finally is 3rd Reich issue stamped as seen by the Eagle on the side of the grip. Next to the blade we have a fine thread that you screw the scabbard onto and snug up to a leather washer. The scabbard again is turned and polished prior to the assembly of a carry band that was snapped onto a diving suit. These were considered tools not dress daggers. The inside is threaded to mate with the hilt and provide a snug fit. The top of the carry band is Marine marked. The scabbard is undented. All the patina matches on this example. Overall the dagger is in excellent shape. Exc++
