NA-72 Beauty WKC 2nd Model Navy with Ivory Grip
Well guys they do not come much better than this. Blade is a fouled anchor etch that is crip and dark. Properly maker stamped on the obverse by WKC. This blade is killer!! It rates Exc++/NM. The blade retains it's tan buffer pad. Fittings are nicely detailed brass with excellent quality finish throughout. Button functions quite fine. And look at the lacquer!! The scabbard is a dent-free example which retains nice gilt! Both throat retaining screws are intact. Grip is a chip and crack free ivory example. It displays age styrations as we always see in 70 year old ivory yet remains damage free. The brass wire is nice and tight. Included is a silver bullion portepee. Overall the dagger is an outstanding example with the, "extras" a well heeled officer would have ordered in the period. NM $2695 Layaway(pt)

NA-86 Salty Alcoso Navy with Ivory Grip that's been and 3rd Reich Upgraded
Well guys, I just love these solid ivory grips, it's just too bad they are so rare to find on 3rd Reich pieces. Here's one that shows lots of honest wear but no damage. I love the salty look, and I expect that you too will come to love this one. This example is of Imperial vintage and in accordance with regulations has been upgraded with a Nazi pommel in 1938. Love these piece as we get the best of both worlds: the quality and craftsmanship of Imperials and the vintage of being a 3rd Reich dagger. Take a second and look at the blade see how the double fullers do not start for an inch down from the riccasso. Neat, and only seen on Imperial vintage pieces. The  fouled anchor etch is crisp and dark. Properly maker stamped on the reverse by Alcoso. This blade has just the most minor age. It rates Exc++. The blade retains it's red buffer pad. Distinctive Alcoso fittings are nicely detailed brass with that age patina that give this character throughout. Button functions quite fine. Examine the pommel, you never get this kind of detail in a std production pommel. Only the "1938 upgrade" pommel offered this level of detail and hand wok! The scabbard is an Imperial example with reef knot type scabbard bands. Both throat retaining screws are intact. The lower scabbard does have some small hits and bruises. Please keep in mind this is nearly 100 years old!! Grip is a chip and crack free ivory example. It displays age styrations as we always see in 70 year old ivory yet remains damage free. The brass wire is all intact. Included is a silver bullion portepee that has aged to a dark dark gold!! It's old, a bit loose, salty and looks great having obviously been on there forever! Overall the dagger is an outstanding example with the, "extras" a well heeled long service officer would have ordered in the period. Exc+/Exc++

NA-83 Facinating Höller 2nd Model Navy
Really an interesting dagger for the advanced collector. Now before I tell you why go back and look at the dagger and see if you can figure out why before I tell you.....
I like to buy these Höller Navy daggers they are unique and once you know them you can pick 'em out in a second. This one started life as a 1st model Navy dagger. If you look at the scabbard you can see the hand-work of the suspension rings that are typical of these 1920's vintage pieces. Finally giving the vintage away is the replacement pommel. Love these pommels as they show way better detail than the later factory issued ones. As often happens with these replacement pommels it has slightly stripped the thread and I used a bit of string to tighten this up. You would never know unless you disassemble the dagger. Blade is plated beauty with a sailing ship etch that is the only one used by Holler. It has good frosting. Properly maker marked on the reverse with the double oval Höller trademark thermometer. The buffer is intact. It rates Exc++. Fittings are nicely detailed brass with excellent detail. The fittings have nice gilt finish. Button functions quite fine. The lightning bolt scabbard is dent-free sporting textbook Holler bands. The scabbard throat is secured with a single screw to the reverse. Slightly unusual but sometimes seen. BTW, I need to thank Tom Wittmann here as we had a good chat about this unique piece at the 2008 SOS where he gave this a resounding thumbs up! Grip is a chip and crack free orange trylon example. The unique springy brass wire is nice and tight. The portepee shows minor period wear and has that, "welded on" look. It's been there forever. Look at the color change where I pulled back the portepee to show you! Finally, did you find the unique feature of this piece? Look at the grip... The grip wire and profile runs opposite to every other Navy you will ever find. It runs down and to the right where every other one runs up and to the right!! Interesting and quite fine. Tom shows one in his textbook. They are a rare and desirable variant. Why the unique grip? Who knows, but my guess is a early factory error quickly fixed. Overall Exc++

NA-84 Unmarked (WKC) 2nd Model Navy with Hammered Scabbard
Well guys they do not come much better than this. I picked this is specifally because if the excellent gilt and cold not put it back down! Rarer plated blade is the plain variant that is void of etch and even a trademark. Likely this was made for a uniform shop. The blade shows light honest wear. It rates Exc++. The blade retains it's textbook red buffer pad. Fittings are nicely detailed brass with excellent quality finish throughout. Button functions quite fine. The gilt pommel is a textbook WKC example that gives away the maker of this one exactly matching the WKC pommel, Wittmann pg 269. The scabbard is an extra cost dent-free example which retains very good gilt and much lacquer!! Both throat retaining screws are intact. Grip is a chip and crack free celluloid over wood example. The brass wire is nice and tight. Overall the dagger is an outstanding example. Exc++

NA-68 Killer Eickhorn 2nd Model Navy
Well guys they do not come much better than this. The best 2nd model Navy of the Max show this year! Blade is a fouled anchor etch that is nice and dark, yes, it's as dark as it looks in the pictures!! Properly maker marked on the reverse by Eickhorn with the mid period stamped,(not etched) over the shoulder Eickhorn logo. There is just the slightest age gray on the riccasso and near the tip. I have not tried to clean or semi-chrome this at all. This blade is killer!! It rates Exc++/NM. The blade retains it's textbook tan buffer pad. Fittings are nicely detailed brass with excellent quality finish throughout. Button functions quite fine. And look at the lacquer!! The scabbard is a dent-free example which retains perfect gilt and 99% lacquer!! Simply the best scabbard I've owned. Both throat retaining screws are intact. Grip is a chip and crack free celluloid over wood example. The brass wire is nice and tight. Overall the dagger is an outstanding example. Look as you wish you will not find a better hilt or scabbard anywhere. NM

NA-85 Eickhorn 2nd Model Navy
This example is was purchased at a Pa. show a couple weeks ago. Blade is a fouled anchor etch that is nice and dark. It's got that frosted look with just the most minor of age. Properly maker marked on the reverse by Eickhorn with the last maker mark stamped,(not etched). It rates Mint-. The blade retains it's textbook tan buffer pad. Fittings are nicely detailed brass with excellent quality finish throughout. Lots of fire gilding remains. Button functions quite fine. The undented scabbard has minor evidence of use and 90% of the lacqure remains to the fire gilt finish. Both throat retaining screws are intact. NA-73 Höller 2nd Model Navy
Always like to buy these Höller Navy daggers they are unique  and once you know them you can pick 'em out int a second. This one is exactly as I would expect it to be. Blade is plated beauty with a sailing ship etch that is nice a dark with wonderful frosting. It's not all cleaned so you can hardly see it like so many I pass by. Properly maker marked on the reverse with the double oval Höller trademark thermometer. BTW guys, do not buy these Hollers I see with the fouled anchor etch, they are all reproductions, Höller only ever used the sailing ship! There is a leather buffer intact. It rates Exc++. Fittings are nicely detailed brass with excellent detail. The fittings have nice gilt finish. Button functions quite fine. The scabbard has small hit to the reverse. about 2" down from the lower band. I have deliberately taken photos of the worse view I could get. Both headless throat retaining screws are intact. Grip is a chip and crack free celluloid over wood example. The unique springy brass wire is nice and tight. The portepee shows period wear and has that, "welded on" look , it's been there forever. Overall this is a textbook Höller. Overall Exc++
