BB-318 Tabbed RAD Buckle by Sohni Heuback?
Shows heavy wear. This buckle is maker marked and dated "1936". I tried to figure out the maker on this one without luck then asked a buddy of mine. Here what he suggested: "I thought perhaps it could be M4/86 who was Sohni Heubach and Cie, but they are from Oberstein. That's not too big a deal because I know some of the smaller buckle makers used other leather makers to make their tabs for them. So I thought I struck gold until I dug a little deeper. You see Sohni Heuback only got it's M4 license between Jan. '37 and Dec. '37. Your buckle is dated '36. But it's not the end of the world....could still be that maker. There is still a possibility that it's that maker - just that the buckle would have been made before it got it's RZM license. That is the only maker that I can see that has S.H. in its initials." Thanks Rob your knowledge of this stuff always amazes me! Exc+
