Easy Exc++ $195 ![]() BB-318 Tabbed RAD Buckle by Sohni Heuback? Shows heavy wear. This buckle is maker marked and dated "1936". I tried to figure out the maker on this one without luck then asked a buddy of mine. Here what he suggested: "I thought perhaps it could be M4/86 who was Sohni Heubach and Cie. but they are from Oberstein. That's not too big a deal because I know some of the smaller buckle makers used other leather makers to make their tabs for them. So I thought I struck gold until I dug a little deeper. You see Sohni Heuback only got it's M4 license between Jan. '37 and Dec. '37. Your buckle is dated '36. But it's not the end of the world....Could still be that maker. There is still a possibility that it's that maker - just that the buckle would have been made before it got it's RZM license. That is the only maker that I can see that has S.H. in its initials.", Thanks Rob your knowledge of this stuff always amazes me! This aluminum die struct buckle is stamped "rzm M4/24". Matches Nash's pg 334. Easy Exc++ $161 ![]() BB-266 Cool Droop wing DLV with Tab and matching belt and a story! Good heavy nickle buckle with a pebbled background. Light wear. Check out the tab. "R. Sieper &Sohn Lüdenscheid 1936" It's also what looks like a field strike "5.Baür." and something else I can't make out. The back of the tab is stamped "L.B.A.". This exactly matches the belt stamp, The 31" belt is also maker marked "Eugen Huber 1935 München", Now what gets real interesting is the the belt was issue stamped in 1936 to a Flyer's Scool! "FLIEUERSCHULE OLDENBURG 1936", (BTW that's how I know this is a DLV not Luftshutz). Lastly over the impressed stamp there is an ink stamp that I think is dated 1940. Perhaps this was reissued? Regardless, this a a very cool rig. The belt has been shortened some time in the past. I guess the guy who originally owned it lost a lot of weight? A nice early RLB set-up that tells a story! Exc+ $415 ![]() BB-322 Prision Official Nice quality all nonmagnetic buckle that is seldom offered. Gold finish in excellent shape the keepers just show light wear. Light wear. Look at the way the catch is tilted back. That is exactly how these are. Neat to see these minor variations. Check Nash pg 388. Now look at the tab. "Franz Cobau Berlin 1937" It's also what looks like a field strike "2.K.O." and "I". I haven't clue what that means but hey maybe you do!! Regardless this a a sweet buckle I suggest you jump on, next time you look this will be gone. Exc++/NM $345 |
