The bottom edge of the banner has an approximate 1½” long white rayon fringe of twisted cord. The banner is in fine condition with a bit of light soil but no holes repairs or damage. Exc++ $295 ![]() FL-43 Party Flag This two-sided flag is a quality 48"x30" example with a very rich feel to it. not like so many roughly textured examples you see. The red field is thin, very finely woven cloth with a linen-like feel, and a completely smooth texture. The red color is deep. The white disks are a cotton fabric, slightly age yellowed with some water stains. The obverse has a couple oil stains that look black. The reverse is in significantly better shape as far as stains go. There is an interesting feature to the reverse as well, the disk has a sew pattern in the form of a black dotted line. The seamstress missed this slightly in one area resulting in the sew pattern being visible, a neat insight into flag construction. Except for the stains it is in fine condition with no damage. The hoist has a sleeve for inserting a staff. just and all around nice flag. $243 ![]() FL-152 Two Sided Party Flag Perfect for display above a political grouping! This two-sided flag is a lower quality 56"x23" example. Constructed of a heavu corse cotton with folded edges. The white disks are a cotton fabric with minor soil that have a printed swas and are machine stitching inplace. The one corner is ripped out and there is some significant tears to one corner. The entired flag shows wear some small holes and soil. Vet purchase. Exc $75 HOLD(ev) ![]() FL-153 Two sided Party Banner Perfect for display above a political grouping! This two-sided flag is 75"x 56" example. I call it a banner be cause I believe it once was a portion of a large street banner. I say that cause the ends are now folded over and sewn. Very understandable cause the amount of material to one of those street banners is unbelievable, If you've ever owned one you know what I mean! Regardless it's well constructed with a large roundel to each side. Shows soil and minor holes and stains. Exc+ $135 ![]() FL-44 Party Flag Perfect for display above a political grouping! This two-sided flag is a quality 76"x30" example with a very rich feel to it not like so many roughly textured examples you see. The red field is quality cotton. The red color is unfaded. The white disks are a cotton fabric with minor soil. There is also some soil to the red field of which I have shown the worse. This is a quality example. The hoist has a rope. Likely out of a flag factory this large swas. measures approx 46" square. This is a printed example with stitch guides to sew on to a red field. There is some minor storage age. Some light soil but overall Exc++ ![]() FL-62 Vehicle ID Banner Here we have a large ID flag, these are characterized by the grommets used to keep them down and were used primarily to ID German columns from the sky. This is a large one measuring approx 16' x 5' most likely for a very large piece of equipment like a truck. This one is in near perfect condition with just a couple oil stains to one corner, other than that it's in fine shape with no holes or damage, all 6 grommets are intact. White disk is separately applied with a printed swas. The colors are all bright with no fading or leaching of color. NM ![]() FL-109 Early National War Flag ![]() FL-139 National War Flag ![]() FL-149 Navy Car Pennant Roughly 8½"x 13½"this two sided pennant is the last pattern used 1936-45. The background is composed of vertically ribbed blue cotton/rayon blend base. On this is a hand embroidered Nazi Eagle in gold thread with navy blue accent threads. The eagle is roughly 5½" wide. The 2 sides have a 1/4" wide yellow border machine stitched into place. The hoist end has a Navy blue bunting which has a cotton rope inside. The rope terminates at both ends with steel clips. The clips are those we typically see on pennants. This pennant is in great shape and perfect for over a Navy grouping! NM ![]() FL-106 SA Flag Measures approx 53"x 46" this 2 sided example is constructed with a heavy red cotton field onto which is machine sewn a white disk and a multi-piece swas. made of silky black cotton. The edges are fringed on 3 sides with silver bullion which has aged to a gold. The hoist end has 7 original rings and a snap at the top. Upper right has a white cotton 11"x 6" off white unit designation Ortsbauernshaft Schönbrunn. The letters are correctly constructed of chain-stitched rayon. "Ortsbauernschaft" means: Local Farming Community or maybe better Farming Community of the Village.(Or Farmers of the Village) and I have never heard of Schönbrunn but Wikipedia says that there are a park and a castle in Vienna named Schönbrunn.. There is one village called Schönbrunn near the Rhine in ´the area "Baden" and one in the greater area of "Bamberg" in the Steiger forest(Steigerwald). There is minor wear and evidence of use. There is also some fringe that is worn and one 3" section missing along the fly end. Perfect quality display item! Exc+ ![]() FL-131 Absolutely stunning RAD Standarte with Streamers Guys, I'm having trouble even wanting to list this, I've been really enjoying it for the past while it is awesome! Absolutely the highest quality and best workmanship I've ever witnessed. Making flags in the 3rd Reich was no small deal after all these were symbols of a new era and were paraded around. Approx. 52"x 44" this thing is a heavy 2 sided example you will be amazed at the weight when this thing lands on your door step! The field is constructed from 2 separate pieces of silky red cotton in to which is sewn a black mobile swas. bordered by an off white rayon border. Superimposed to the center is a multipiece RAD emblem. The emblem looks great and is almost 3D. There is just a ton of work in this. These were not made on a machine rather this is all handwork ! The exact same pattern is to the reverse. Three edges are trimmed with silver bullion which is almost all intact, I see none missing but I did not check each individual strand ;>. As far as condition issues there are a few odd moth nips, wee holes. Now I say this but being a constructed of 2 pieces of red cotton you can not see through as the other side hides the holes. I hope that makes sense. Included with this piece are the original streamers that were with this when the Vet got it. Yes, these are the exact ones. These streamers are bullion and in NM condition being completely damage free. Guys this is a great piece that is truly a piece of art , you will be proud to own it. Exc++ ![]() FL-128 2 sided DAF Unit Flag This is a neat pattern! This DAF organization was the labour front replacing the trade unions in Germany after the NSDAP gained control. This flag is made of a coarse cotton red field with multiple pieces of white and black material making up the swas and cogwheel. The red field is not faded but does have some holes of which I have tried to show you the worse. In particular the corners have some damage, and the white has some water stains. The 3 sides have silver bullion fringe which appears to be all intact. Check Davis' Flags of the Third Reich Volume 3 plate-F1 to see a similar example. Measuring 54" x 49" this is a good example! Exc/Exc+ ![]() FL-101 2 Sided SS FM Pennant Rare rare rare. This is a beauty pennant. I spoke with Robin Lumsden author of "Detecting the Fakes" and many other 3rd Reich references before committing to buy this one. He assured me it's right, thanks Robin! Perfect item for above a SS group. Measuring approx 12" x 7" this is small enough that you can display it! The field is heavy black cotton, almost canvas. The hoist end is reinforce stitched. The center has a separately applied Swas and BeVo woven letters "SS" and "FM". This example has been put in a plastic sleeve to protect it. Shows period wear but no damage. Exc++/NM ![]() FL-142 Small HJ Flag Perfect item for right above your HJ collection! Measuring 24" x 17" this is a nice multi-piece cotton example. The field is heavy red cotton, every color change is done with separate pieces of material, nothing is printed. Just a ton of work on this thing!. All the corners are reinforced. The lanyards are intact. Not sure what else you could ask for? NM ![]() FL-123 HJ Pennant Perfect item for right above your HJ collection! Measuring 28" x 14" this is a nice multi-piece cotton example. The field is heavy black cotton, almost canvas the edges and double stitched. The hoist end has 2 period clips. The top being nickel and the lower brass. The reverse features a "wolfsangle" in ribbed rayon that has been hand sewn onto the field, this looks to be a home done embellishment. The diamond is a printed one machine sewn onto the backing. Guys this is a very impressive piece. Exc+/Exc++ ![]() RRE-2 Reproduction Railway Eagle Ok right off the bat. This is a POST-WAR REPRODUCTION. Rarely do I sell any reproductions but the odd time I will market these eagles. The reason being original examples are pushing $2k. Most guys just want them as display pieces above their collections. Few actually collect eagles rather just was a cool display item. Well here's one you can afford! Made from cast aluminum with a width of approx 23" it's been painted gold at some point. This will meet the needs of most guys and leave some $ over for the stuff you really want! Exc++ |
