Warranty

I attempt to describe each item completely. All items come with a 5-day inspection period. If you are not satisfied with your purchase you may return the item. Refunds will be issued upon receipt of the item back in the exact condition it was sent out. Disassembly, modification or cleaning in part or whole voids this return policy.

All items unless otherwise described are of pre-1945 manufacture and warranted to be so for life, (mine).

Please contact me in advance of any return.

Trades

Many folks want to trade and we are happy to provide this service to you. Please contact us in advance for approval before sending any items. Upon inspection, I will quote you a trade-in value for your items. You can either accept this offer or decline in which case I will return the trade items to you. Once accepted, these items become property of Lakesidetrader Inc. and the trade-in value is applied to your account to make purchases from our site.

Layaway

I will consider all layaway requests and at my own discretion decide whether or not to allow a layaway on a given item. I try to work with folks to make buying easy. I am often happy to tailor a payment plan to your specific needs, however, generally speaking, I like to get 25% down and a minimum of 10% per month. I do not do layaway for purchases of less than $1000. All purchases plans are to be no longer than 12 months in duration. If you choose to return an item after it has been on layaway, or decide part way through to cancel or switch the deal there is a 33% charge. If you look around you will find this is less than most dealers charge and quite reasonable. If no payment or contact has been made after 90 days I will charge the 33% and return the balance to the customer. The reason I do this is that I turn down selling many items on layaway to other customers. An item on layaway costs me time and money. Please do not request layaway if you are not ready to commit to purchase.

Hold Policy

I sell on a 1st come 1st serve basis and will be happy to put any item you commit to purchase on "hold" for you. Requesting a quote or saying you are interested in an item I consider an inquiry, not a commitment to buy. "Hold" is a firm commitment to purchase after viewing a quote with an agreed payment method and total cost including shipping. Please remember that the same item I can be quoting to others at the same time and I consider still available till I confirm the sale. Hold is used to ensure an item is not sold to someone else while payment is being facilitated and is not intended to last more than 2 weeks. Until you are 100% committed to purchase please do not ask to put an item on "hold".

I reserve the right to not sell to any individual for any reason at my own discretion.

Certificates of Authenticity

I can provide a Certificate of Authenticity, (COA) on request at the time of purchase at no charge for items valued over $250. If you want a Certificate of Authenticity please request one prior to your sale, creating these after the fact is time consuming and can be done for a nominal charge. I do not provide COA's for items under $250. and if your require one I can provide one for a nominal charge. Our COA's incorporate security features making them difficult to copy. If you wish to verify a past issued COA just contact me as they remain on file.

Payment

All prices quoted are in US funds. I accept most forms of payment, including bank checks, money orders, (I do not accept the Green US postal MO's), Western Union, Paypal, cash, (by registered mail at your risk) and Wire transfer. I do not accept credit cards directly rather only through Paypal. My Paypal account is my email phogle@personainternet.com Payment in Can$ is accepted at current exchange rates. If you are mailing payment please use sufficient postage, currently $.75 is required for a 1st class letter to Canada from USA.

Shipping

First off I want to say my goal is not to make money on shipping. I use a simple median price in an attempt to cover packaging and shipping charges. I can not be responsible for any items seized or damaged by Customs or Postal authorities, even if you insure them! Please know your local import laws prior to ordering! Shipping is done via Canada Post Express with online tracking. In most cases you will receive an emailed copy of your tracking number within minutes of your shipment. I will, at your expense, upgrade shipping to FedEx on request.
If you do not request Insurance your item it not insured. Uninsured items are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Taxes

Canadian buyers are subject to HST.

Pictures

Pictures on the site are the sole property of Lakesidetrader. They are not to be used without my written permission. This includes posting on collector forums, using in newspapers or other media. If you wish to use my pictures permission is usually granted I just want to know where and how they are used. Pictures remain the property of Lakesidetrader even after the item itself may be sold. These pictures may be used for promotional or educational purposes at my discretion.

Selling to France and Germany

Lakesidetrader can not accept Paypal from FRANCE or GERMANY due to their countries' laws regarding these types of items. Paypal must insure users follow these laws so they can continue to operate in these countries. Things that are forbidden in these two countries that we have been informed of, include Nazi or Vichy Regime uniforms. Any items with the Swastika, or uniforms involved in crimes against humanity such as Gestapo and SS are not allowed for these countries. WW2 German Army uniforms are allowed. Other items not allowed include coins, stamps, books that have the Nazi Swastika. If you have questions or concerns about this feel free to contact me.
