Here's one out of a US Vet's estate last week! The blade on this one has age grey, stains and some pitting. The fit is nice and tight, the tip comes to a perfect point and the dark acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and maker mark are both nicely executed! The blade rates Exc. The brown anodized scabbard looks good! The scabbard body retains a decent but worn finish! It has a few line-type hits near the bottom. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look good. The ball has a few small bruises and all four screws remaining intact! "I'm going to play it safe here and say that the scabbard doesn't match the dagger. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "He". The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The light multi-toned hardwood grip has some flaking to the upper crossguard fit. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. Oh yea, also comes while complete 1 pc Assmann marked hanger that's been there for 75 years. Great price!
