Tabbed Imperial Army Belt Buckle

Here we have a steel based, single piece, green painted Imperial Prussian Tabbed Army Belt Buckle. The front depicts the Imperial king's crown, on a smooth field, which is encircled by a decorative line type pattern that is enclosed by two twisted ropes. Below the crown is a half laurel leaf wreath and above the crown is the Army motto: ?GOTT MIT UNS" (God with us). The buckle shows age toning and period wear throughout. About 30% of the green paint remains intact. It has some oxidization age wear. The steel prongs and catch remain in great condition. Around the prongs is a brown leather tab that has been stitched on. It is maker marked ?Semlgold St? Leipzig 1916?. You hardly ever find these with the tab much more!
