A clean and untouched example! The blade on this one is a great looking plated example! The stamped ?WKC? Knights Head maker mark is beautifully executed. The fit is perfect and the tip is nicely pointed. The single sided acid etching is crisp and clear! It wonderfully display’s; a leaf motif with a centrally placed NSDAP political style eagle surrounded by an inscription which reads: ?Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit” (Remembrance of my Service). The blade rates Exc++/NM. It shows the common surface scratches and spotting throughout. The tip has some marks but it is not dulled/blunted. The original brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard looks great! It retains about 85% paint coverage and remains completely dent free. The original throat retaining screw remains intact. The alloy based, nickel plated hilt looks great as well! It retains about 98% plating coverage. The release button works well. The black bakelite, checkered grip plates are damage free being retained with two aluminum rivets. A nice example with a great etch!
