Here's a solid piece from a fellow dealer! Sorry about the pictures they have a red tinge it was just the cameras exposure. The blade on this one looks good. It nicely displays the acid etched Meine Ehre heisst Treue motto and ?Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen Foche? maker mark. To the reverse we can see approximately 40% of the Rohm inscription: "In Cordial Friendship Ernst Rohm"! That is quite a bit more than we normally see! The tip looks perfect, as is the fit! Also, nice cross graining remains! The blade rates Exc+. It has been cleaned and shows age greying throughout. The black period re-painted scabbard looks great! It continues to retain 40% paint coverage. It does have a few pressure marks but you have to look hard to find them. The scabbard fittings look great. They show some surface scratches throughout. The ball has been pushed in. All four screws remain intact. The solid nickel crossguards look great and they match the scabbard fittings in wear color and patina. The reverse of the lower crossguard is district stamped "III" (Berlin). The crossguards/grip fits look great! The black hardwood grip has several pressure marks throughout along with a few chips to the edges. As you know, finding a flawless SS grip is really hard to come by. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed! The SS roundel retains 100% of its enamel. A nice partial Rohm SS dagger awaiting your collection!
