Here we have a beautiful Heer Long Service Medal Bar on a parade mount! Both medals are die-stamped, steel based and have been gold/silver washed. They both show the national closed winged Heer eagle, clutching a wreathed swastika in its talons, below: "Treue Dienste in der Wehrmacht" (faithful service in the armed units). The reverses depict a stylized ?12?/?4? encircled by a laurel leaf wreath. Above both medals, attached to the blue ribbon, are small, pinned, gold/silver Heer eagles with outstretched wings clutching wreathed swastikas in their talons. The blue ribbon is in excellent shape! It is attached to a steel medal plate that has a yellow felt/velvet backing and a tombak pin to the reverse. The gold and silver wash, to the medals, is in great condition and shines quite nicely in the light! The silver shows more wear than the gold, but remember it should be this way as it is older. Truly a beautiful bar, here for the taking!
