A nice looking piece here! The bright blade on this one looks great! The crossgrain is absolutely stunning and runs the full length of the blade! The dark acid etched "F. & A. Helbig Gaefler Steinbachkr. M." maker mark is nicely executed! It has a perfect tip and fit. The blade rates a solid Exc++. It has the common runner marks and age spotting throughout. The blue pebbled leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The scabbard looks excellent! The original leather on the scabbard body is excellent, 98% coverage! The scabbard remains dent free and has a near perfect seam. All four screws remain intact. The throat is correctly marked with the DLV logo. The scabbard/dagger fit is perfect. The hilt looks awesome! 99% leather coverage on the grip. The enameled swastikas look great. The obverse has a bit of damage the reverse is 100% intact. The crossguard and pommel match the scabbard fittings in color and patina. Finally, the original hanger is intact with a solid well working nickel clip. A great piece!
