SS 8 Year Long Service Medal

Eight years in the SS, imagine what this guy went through! It is made of a die struck, bronze alloy base that has been bronze washed. The obverse of the round award features two centrally placed SS runes that are surrounded by an oak leaf wreath that is tied together at the bottom and is in front of a stagnant swastika and all lies on a pebbled field. The reverse reads: “Für Treue Dienste in der SS” (For Loyal Service in the SS) and is in front of an "8" and all lies on a pebbled field. It has the proper ring and tear drop suspension loop to the top. It has nicely aged with time. It comes with 6 inches of the proper blue rayon ribbon. A typical Deschler Munich manufacture. A great piece missing from most collections!
