Here we have a gold Prussian Fire Service Decoration (circa 1908-17)! It is made of a die struck bronze base that has been gold gilded. The obverse depicts a centrally placed bust of the monarch Wilhelm II in uniform surrounded by "Wilhelm II Imp Rex" and is also surrounded by "Verdienst UM Das Feuerl’schwesen" and underneath two axes and a kings crown along with a bannered "WIR ii" and is above "Wessen" a half wreath and two batons. The reverse shows a full back with a recessed "Original", along with a block hinge, round wire catch and round wire pin. All are in well working condition. Beautiful gold gilding remains! A nice early award!
