Another quality Klaas example! The early tapered tang blade on this one is beautiful! The fit is perfect and the tip comes to a perfect point. The stamped kissing krane "Robt Klaas Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed! It continues to hold a nice mirror like finish and the crossgrain is stunning as it runs the full length of the blade! The blade rates NM. It shows minor spotting. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The distinctive asterix style Klaas steel based, nickel plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands! It continues to hold 80% plating and remains completely dent free! The original throat retaining screws continue to remain intact! The Early Klaas eagle crossguard design is beautifully detailed throughout the eagle's head, wings, wreath, beak and chest! The early pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The crossguard, scabbard, ferrule and pommel all match in color, plating, patina and age wear. Just the way you want to see them! The yellow-orange, trylon grip on this one is near perfect! No chips, cracks or hits! This is a great early piece you will be proud to own.
