A completely matching example of an Alcoso 2nd Luft with the desirable guiled swastikas! The blade on this one looks good! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alcoso ACS Solingen" maker mark that is beautifully executed! It has a perfect tip, perfect fit and the crossgrain is stunning as you shine it in the light! The blade on this one rates an Exc+. There is age grey and spotting throughout along with some rough edges. The original blue pebbled buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, nickel plated scabbard looks excellent! It depicts awesome details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and the two throat retaining screws remain intact! The Luftwaffe eagle crossguard has amazing detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side oak leaves and acorns. The aluminum pommel is beautifully hand enhanced to the sides and has those two proud gold gilded swastika you want to see, surrounded by oak leaves and acorns. 92% of the gold gilding remains intact! Just beautiful! The early trylon grip has aged to a nice yellow over time. There are no chips, cracks or hits! The double twisted brass wire wrap remains tightly intact. An excellent piece missing from most collections!
