Almost certainly one of the rarest edged weapons of the Luftwaffe series that is often missing from all but the most advanced collections! The large 16 inch mate finished blade looks excellent! The deep early stamped "Alcoso ACS Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed. The blade is nicely grained lengthwise as it should be. With a perfect tip and solid fit this one rates in at Exc++/NM! It shows the common surface scratching. The steel based, black anodized continues to remain completely dent free! It has a minor surface scratches and spotting throughout yet remains remarkably well preserved. The blade is perfectly set into a Brass based hilt with expertly fit wood grip plates retained by two original screws. Overall it's a beautiful hefty piece that would make for an excellent addition to your collection!
