Here's a great looking 1940-45 pattern Deutsche Reichsbahn Officers Brocade Belt Buckle By F. W. Assmann & Sohne 1940! It is constructed out of a die stamped aluminum-alloy base that has been gold gilded with polished highlights. The round shaped obverse features a winged wheel below a mobile swastika, which all lies on a pebbled round backing and is surrounded by an oak leaf wreath that is tied together at the bottom. The reverse is clearly maker marked "A" (F. W. Assmann & Sohne, Lüdenscheid), patent protected "D.R.G.M." (Deutsches Reiches Gebrauchs Musterschutz) and dated "40" (1940). The catch and hinge assembly look great. It shows minor scuffs and hits throughout. Beautiful detail and gilding remain! The face measures 1 7/8 inches in diameter. A nice rare one!
