A neat variation Imperial Prussian Army Belt Buckle! The two piece belt buckle is constructed out of a die struck, steel/nickel base that has been silver washed and green painted. The front silvered roundel depicts the Imperial king's crown which is then encircled by detailed lines and enclosed by two twisted ropes. The crown is above a laurel leaf pattern and below the Army motto: "GOTT MIT UNS" (God with us), which all lies on a smooth background. The buckle shows age wear throughout. The steel prongs and catch remain in excellent condition. It measures approximately 2 ½ inch wide by 2 inches high. A neat buckle!
