Early Boker SS Dagger

The Cadillac of all SS Dagger makers: Boker! This is a beautiful example that will not disappoint! The blade on this one looks real nice! It has very fine crossgrain that runs the full length of the blade and the fit and tip are both perfect! The dark and crisp, acid etched "Meine Ehre Heisst Treue" motto and "B?ker Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed and provide a wonderful contrast to the bright blade! The motto shows that faint pimpling that we often want to see on Bokers. There is a couple fingerprint stains to the right of the motto. Looks llike the previous owner tried to clean this up a bit and as a result the last letters are a bit lightened. The blade still rates a solid Exc++ Nice! The black anodized scabbard is quite attractive! It has a wonderful black finish, with only minor age. It has two small pin prick hits to the reverse and other than that remains completely dent free! The solid nickel scalloped fittings also look excellent. The ball is undented. It retains all four scabbard screws. The scabbard/hilt fit is Boker perfect and closes with a snap. The solid nickel crossguards look excellent, matching the scabbard fittings in color and wear. The reverse of the lower fitting is district stamped "I" (Munich). The black died hardwood grip looks great, and is better than most SS daggers! There are several pressure marks throughout along with a flake to the upper obverse crossguard and a wee flake to the reverse upper right corner. No hairlines or cracks of any kind. The solid nickel eagle is wonderfully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SS roundel retains 100% of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! Guys are always telling me they eventually want to get a Boker. Well wait no more this one is for you!
