2pc Medal Bar Imperial EK2 and West Wall

Here's an excellent 2pc Medal Bar! The Imperial Iron Cross is constructed out of a die struck, three piece (single piece iron core and two piece silver alloy frame) construction. The obverse features a black pattee style cross with a centrally placed embossed "W" (cypher for King Wilhelm II), below a Kings crown and above "1914", all within a ribbed and flat border. The reverse shows a centrally placed three piece oak leaf and acorn cluster, below a "FW" (cypher for King Friedrich Wilhelm III) and a Kings crown and is above "1813", and is again all within that same ribbed and flat border. Beautiful paint and patina. Attached to the cross is a soldered loop and ring which is attached to the bar. The West Wall medal is made of a die struck, tombak base that has been bronze washed. The oval badge depicts an embossed profile of a German National eagle with out-stretched wings clutching a wreathed swastika in its talons, above a crossed spade shovel and broad sword, which is again above a bunker on a hill. This all lies on a smooth field and is surrounded by a laurel leaf wreath that is tied together at the top and bottom. The reverse of the badge depicts an embossed inscription of "Für Arbeit Zum Schutze Deutschlands" (For Work for the Protection of Defense of Germany) on a smooth field and is also surrounded by the same wreath. To the top of the badge is a soldered loop and ring which is attached to the bar. The bar is made of a steel base and is covered with the appropriate folded ribbed rayon ribbons. The back has a well working pin and is marked "TZ" an excellent 2 piece medal bar!
