Very Neat Early Unmarked 2nd Luft by Klaas

A very interesting and quality piece! The neat thing about this one is that it has a brass based scabbard and pommel which is indicative of early production. It also features Klaas type attributes with the extra hand enhancing to the eagle, the plated blade and the hole in the tang. Very neat! The period upgraded plated blade on this one looks excellent! It has a wonderful mirror like finish to it. A perfect tip and a solid fit. The blade on this one rates an easy Exc++. It shows some minor age grey and surface scratches from the runners. The brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The brass based, nickel-silver plated scabbard looks excellent! It depicts awesome details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and both throat retaining screws remains intact! The burnished aluminum eagle crossguard, steel ferrule and brass pommel all look awesome! The eagle has amazing hand enhanced detail to its head, feathers, wings and embossed top side oak leaves and acorns. The early trylon grip has aged to a warm yellow over time. The grip is in near perfect shape! The double twisted wire wrap remains nicely intact. Wonderful matching patina throughout! One you won't forget!
