A solid example! The bright blade on this one looks excellent! The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Pfeilringwerk Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The crossgrain is very nice and runs the full length of the blade. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The blade rates an easy Exc++. It shows a wee bit of spotting throughout and some runner lines. The steel based, black re-painted scabbard body looks good! It shows the odd mark yet retains about 90% paint coverage and continues to remain completely dent free. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great and match the crossguards in color, wear and patina. The ball has the odd wee bump yet retains a nice round shape. All four screws continue to remain intact. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau marked "S" (Schlesien). The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The brown grained wood grip looks excellent! There is one wee chip below the eagles wing along with the common pressure marks throughout. The grip / crossguard fits are perfect! The solid nickel eagle is beautiful detailed! The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99% of its enamel. A very fine example!
