A nice piece! It is constructed out of a steel base that have been wood chip padded and covered in blue/red felt. It also has a copper half-moon end, silver flatwire and black/red (Württemberg) striped tress, a gold twisted hanging bullion edging and a stiff white felt underlying edging. The top has a gilded medical serpent and staff insignia. The felt remains in great condition only minor soilage to the reverse, above the button hole. The button hole is reinforced with black stitching. The twisted bullion edging remains in great condition, only minor damage visible to the interior. A great piece with nice insignia and workmanship!
