A great assembly! It is a three-piece construction that is made out of a zinc-alloy base that has been silver washed and contains black enamel paint work. The obverse features; two pattée style cross's that have a centrally placed embossed mobile swastika and "1939" to the lower arms, which are all on a black enamel base and surrounded by a flat outlying border, along with a black wound badge which depicts an embossed profile of a swastika, above an M35 pattern helmet, and two crossed broad swords that lies on a pebbled field and is surrounded by a laurel leaf and berry wreath which is tied together at the bottom with a bow tie. The reverse shows where all three pieces have been soldered along with a soldered and knurled steel stickpin. The face measures approximately 1 inch wide by 3/8 of an inch high. A cool piece!
