These stag grips were an optional period upgrade, so it's great to see it on this one! The bright plated blade is in excellent condition! The plating gives it a wonderful mirror like finish to it. It has a beautifully executed stamped "Eickhorn Solingen" over the shoulder maker mark, along with a solid fit and sharp tip. The blade rates NM. It shows the common surface scratches throughout, but that's it. The original brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard shows some surface scratches throughout yet continues to hold 98% paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The original throat retaining screw continues to remain intact. The hilt looks awesome! The multi-toned stag grips plates are perfectly fit and secured with 2 solid steel rivets. They are in near perfect condition with no cracks or chips anywhere. The button continues to function well! A great piece with a great grip!
