Just in time for Christmas! The sharpened blade on this one looks fine. The acid etched "Blut und Ehre!" motto and the Christmas tree "Solingen Ges. Geschützt" maker mark are nicely executed! The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates an Exc/Exc+. It shows heavy scratches and age grey throughout. The original brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is in great shape! It retains 95% of its original paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The brown scabbard leather remains in great shape! All of its rivets are intact and the button continues to work well! It is also "LFS" marked! The top leather portion is crazed. The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt is in good shape. It has aged and patinaed with time. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in near perfect shape being tightly secured by two aluminum rivets. The early HJ diamond retains 99% of its enamel! A nice piece!
