Hitler Youth Leader Brocade Belt and Buckle

Quality craftsmanship right here! The circular buckle is constructed of a die stamped nickel alloy base that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts a closed winged Hitler Youth eagle clutching a Hitler Youth diamond within its talons in front of a pebbled background. Above the eagle is the Hitler Youth motto reading: "Blut und Ehre" (Blood and Honor). This is then encircled by detailed lines which are enclosed by two twisted ropes and is surrounded by a thin smooth exterior border. The reverse of the buckle shows a mirror image of the obverse and has the proper catch and prong assembly. The catch is correctly maker marked "RZM M4/22" (Christian Theodor Dicke, Lüdenscheid). The buckle is attached to a long quality bright brocade belt. The belt is constructed out of a woven silver/aluminum and black rayon thread to the exterior and an interior is lined in a tan cotton which has all been stitched together. The belt continues to retain both of its two vertical sliding loops (one has a small tong and wool pad) and brown leather adjustable tong (sized "95"). The belt comes to a point at one end and is folded over a catch and stitched together. It measures approximately 1 ¾ inches tall by 42 ½ inches long. The buckle continues to retain beautiful silver wash and is wonderfully detailed throughout the eagle's wings, head, wreath and motto. The bright belt looks superb! The whole piece is in exceptional condition! Overall it's a wonderful example which you will consider a prized piece among your collection!
