Great price on this one! The cleaned blade on this one looks fine. The acid etched "RZM M7/72" (Karl Rob. Kaldenbach, Solingen-Grafrath) maker mark is nicely executed! The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates an Exc/Exc+. It shows surface scratches, minor pitting and spotting/age grey throughout. The edge may have been ever so slightly sharpened. The original brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is in nice shape. It shows some spidering throughout and retains 85% of its original paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The plastic scabbard hanger has had some damage to it and the top snap portion has been replaced with an SA hanger piece. All of its rivets are intact and the button works. The alloy based nickel-silver plated hilt is in fine shape. It retains 80% plating coverage. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are damaged. It appears as through someone has tried to remove them as there are several marks around the diamond and a crack to the back. The diamond still looks great and both steel rivets remain intact. All period parts. An inexpensive example by an uncommon maker!
