Elegant saddle shape field grey doe skin wool with dark green center band, golden yellow cellon piping, gilded metal insignia, aluminum cockade, gold wire chin cords retained by gilded pebbled side buttons. Black lacquered visor with cross hatched cream underside is slightly misshapen. Sweatband is intact and exhibits average wear and age. Golden silk lining with intact moisture shield over imprinted manufacturers logo.Traces of age and mothing. When this visor was purchased from the son of the veteran in the summer of 2014, the visor was loose and the hat misshapen with minor damage. As seen in the photos, all has been professionally restored. Nothing was added or changed.
