Here we have a rare one! It is constructed out of an injection molded aluminum-alloy base that has been silver washed. The obverse roundel depicts a 1939 Pattern SA eagle, with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed swastika within its talons and is in front of a smooth round background. This is all above a half oak leaf wreath that is tied together at the bottom and is in front of a circular detailed lined pattern that is enclosed by two twisted ropes and all lies on the smooth rectangle background. The details to the eagle and roundel are superb! It only shows minor period wear. The reverse is clearly maker marked “RZM M4/22” (Christian Theodor Dicke, Lüdenscheid). The aluminum prongs and integral catch remain in excellent condition! It measures approximately 2 ½ inch wide by 2 inches high. A rare and excellent looking piece!
