Always nice to see the rarer transitional pieces! The blade on this one is just beautiful!! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and double "Eickhorn Solingen"/"RZM M7/66 1939" maker mark are beautifully executed! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight. The crossgrain wonderfully shines against the light! The blade rates an easy NM! It shows only the slightest evidence of age greying along with the common surface scratches. It is truly beautiful! The steel based, black painted scabbard body looks great! I am going to be on the safe side here and call it post-war-painted. There is the slightest pressure mark to the reverse. The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings are in excellent shape! there is minor bubbling to the top one. The ball continues to hold its original round shape and all four screws remain intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and it closes with a snap! The alloy based, nickel-silver plated crossguards look excellent as well! They show just the slightest but commonly seen plating loss toward the grip. They show minor bubbling as well. They match the scabbard fittings in color and wear as well. The brown grained hardwood grip is near perfect only the common pressure marks. No flakes, chips or cracks. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel is just perfect 100% enamel remaining! It also has a perfect fit! Overall this is an excellent transitional example!
