This one was previously owned by Johnson Reference Books & Militaria so I will just use his description, but my pricing! : “Social Welfare Dagger w Portepee. No maker. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show light surface wear/dark aging with some loss of plating to top of pommel adjacent to pommel nut with excellent detail to the Red Cross emblem on the obverse langet which shows dark aging to the plating. Light yellow trylon grip shows surface wear with no cracks or chips and only a few age specks to surface. Nickel-plated blade grades excellent/excellent+ showing light surface wear/runner marks and some light gray shadowing, but no nicks to cutting edges. Blade is complete with brown leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free nickel-plated scabbard shows excellent detail to pebbling with some surface wear/dark age to scabbard suspension bands and sides of scabbard, with minor lifting to the reverse scabbard tip. Suspension bands feature the round holes associated with Social Welfare service. Dagger is complete with original 42cm aluminum portepee in excellent+ condition showing only minor age with no fraying to cord or damage to the acorn.”
