A nice example of an RZM HJ Dagger! The blade on this one is excellent! The stamped "AES RZM M7/85" (Arthur Evertz, Solingen) maker mark is slightly off center executed and contrasts the bright blade. The tip is perfect as is the fit. It rates a solid Exc+. There are some small age marks and lots of crossgrain remains. The leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard is in excellent condition! It has age crazing throughout yet retains 96% of its original paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The blackened scabbard leather is in excellent condition as well! It shows the common age usage. It retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work well! The alloy based, nickel-silver plated hilt on this one is in good condition! The plating shows wear exactly where you want to see it. about where the lot strap would rub in normal use. The black checkered bakelite grip plates remain in perfect condition and are tightly secured by the two steel rivets! No cracks, chips or damage. The HJ diamond looks great retaining 100% of its enamel! Overall this piece would be an excellent one to add to your collection!
