Early SS Dagger by RZM M7/29 with "!"

Here's a rare SS dagger which is prized among the collecting community! The bright blade on this one looks great! The acid etched "RZM M7/29" maker mark and "Meine Ehre heißt Treue!" (with the exclamation point "!") motto are both light yet nicely executed! The crossgrain looks excellent as you shine it in the light! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is perfect. The blade rates an Exc+. It shows the commonly seen surface scratches and age grey throughout. It appears to have been cleaned at some point. The steel based, black painted scabbard looks great! IMO it looks like a period re-paint through I can't say definitively. It retains 90% paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent! The ball remains perfectly round and all four screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards look great, matching the scabbard fitting in color, patina and wear! The black hardwood grip looks wonderful! It has the common pressure marks and one wee hairline crack near the roundel, but that's it. It is honestly in the top 5% I've seen. As you know finding a flawless SS grip is really hard to come by. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SS roundel retains 95% of its enamel and sits perfectly in the grip. There is some talk about these pieces being attributed to a special SS unit or for presentation, although nothing is for sure. A rare, prized piece right in front of you! Don't miss your chance!
