Another good piece by Eickhron! The acid etched fouled anchor blade on this one looks nice! The etching is great with dark panels and crisp edges! The stamped "Original Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed! The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade on this one rates an Exc++. The tip is ever so slightly dulled and it has the common age greying/spotting throughout. The original brown felt buffer pad continues to remain intact. The lightning bold style scabbard is steel based and gold gilded. It depicts wonderful details throughout. Both throat retaining screws remain intact and it is completely dent free! The button continues to work well and tightly secures the scabbard to the hilt. The crossguard and pommel are brass based and gold gilded. The fouled anchors to the crossguard and proudly perched kreigsmarine eagle pommel are both beautifully detailed! The grip is wood based and covered in a white celluloid. It continues to remain in wonderful shape! No cracks, chips or splits! The brass double twisted wire wrap remains tightly intact! This one also comes with a tightly and correctly tied "cats ass" Navy portepee. A solid piece!
