A nice looking maker marked and tabbed example here! The rectangular buckle is constructed of a die struck aluminum-alloy base that has been silver washed and black burnished. The obverse roundel depicts an embossed closed winged Heer eagle griping a mobile swastika in its talons on a round rough background. The eagle is above a half oak leaf and acorn wreath that is tied together at the bottom and underneath the Heer motto reading: "GOTT MIT UNS" (God with us). The wreath and motto are in front of a decorative line type pattern which is encircled by two twisted ropes. The roundel lies on a pebbled rectangular backing. One of the two aluminum prongs remain intact. The integral catch looks great. It is maker marked "H.K." (Hermann Koller, Pforzheim). Attached to the prongs is a brown leather tab which has been folded over and stitched in place. It is also maker marked "Hermann Koller Pforzheim 1939" matching the buckle. It measures approximately 2 ½ inch wide by 2 inches high. It is lightly worn to the high areas. Still a great piece!
