One of my favorite makers! The mottoed blade on this one looks fine. The acid etched "Blut und Ehere!" motto and double "Tiger Solingen" / "RZM M7/68" maker marks are nicely executed! The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates an Exc/Exc+. It shows heavy scratches and age grey throughout. It has also been lightly sharpened. The original brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is in good shape. It continues to retain approximately 70% paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The blackened scabbard leather remains in nice shape. The top snap portion of the leather is brown and in my opinion it has been that way since it came out of the factory. All of the rivets are intact and the button continues to work well! The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt continues to retain 98% plating coverage! The black bakelite checkered grip plates remain intact. The front has a wee chip and the back is cracked in three places. The HJ diamond retains 99%+ of its enamel. A fine piece.
