A solid looking Partial Röhm SA that’s brigade numbered! The blade on this one is one looks great! The acid etched “In herzlicher kameradschaft Ernst Röhm” motto looks great. It was a backyard job and you can see approximately 40%! I always prefer these to the so often seen factory ground jobs. I just picture the guys coming home from their weekly SA meeting to a bratwurst and Beck's beer discussing the events of the Night of the Long Knives, and complaining about why they had to remove the name from the blade. Gives a real story to the pieces! The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland”? motto is beautifully executed and 80% of the “E. P. & S. Solingen” maker mark remains intact. The obverse crossgrain shines quite nicely in the light! The fit and tip are both perfect as well! The blade rates Exc+. It has the commonly seen runner marks, surface scratches and minor age spotting/grey throughout. The tip is also slightly bent yet remains completely intact.The steel based, brown anodized scabbard shows oxidization spotting/pitting throughout. It remains completely dent free. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look good. The top is stamped “15/26090” and matches both sides of the crossguard. The ball has a small bump yet retains a nice round shape. All four screws remain intact. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent. The scabbard to crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is also stamped “Nm” (Nordmark) which is correct for this brigade numbers 14, 15 and 16. The crossguard / grip fits are near perfect as well! All of the fittings match perfectly. The brown multi-toned hardwood grip looks great! It has aged quite uniquely! It shows the odd pressure mark but that’s it! No cracks, chips or splits. The solid nickel eagle has excellent detail and a perfect fit. The SA roundel shows some damage, retaining 30% of its enamel. It also has a perfect fit! A great opportunity to get yourself a numbered partial Röhm SA Dagger by E.P&S.!
