This piece would have been among the preliminary Eickhorn production of SA Daggers! The cleaned blade on this one looks good. The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and large double oval "Carl Eickhorn C.E. Solingen" maker mark are both nicely executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates Exc+. It has been cleaned and shows age greying and surface scratches throughout. There is one wee nick to the cutting edge. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks good! It only shows oxidization spotting throughout and one small pressure mark to the reverse. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great. The ball remains perfectly round and all four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Wf" (Westfallen). The dark brown multi-toned grained hardwood grip looks near perfect! No cracks, flakes or chips! The solid nickel eagle looks great and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 80% of its enamel. A great early SA dagger! One that would fit in perfectly with your collection!
