Here we have a Bronze Close Combat Clasp by A.G.M.u.K. (1.5.3). It is constructed out of a die struck zinc-alloy base that has been bronze washed and brennlack finished. The obverse depicts a crossed model 24 grenade and K98 bayonet with oak leaves, acorns and lined rays all beneath a German national eagle. The full back reverse of the badge displays; a period repaired soldered on round wire catch, stamped hinge and fluted pin with a crimped steel blackened backplate. It is also designer marked “Fec. W. E. Peekhause Berlin.” and maker marked “Ausf. A.G.M.u.K. Gablonz”! The badge depicts beautiful details and bronze wash! It measures approximately 3 7/8 inches wide by 1 inch tall. See pages 94-95 of T. Durante’s “The German Close Combat Clasp of World War II”. Nice!
