Lazy Man's Partial Rohm by SMF

Well here's a very interesting example I purchased last weekend from the Veteran's son in Toronto. The blade on this one looks great! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and partial, "In Cordial Friendship Ernst Rohm" inscription is beautifully executed! 99% of the SMF Solingen" maker mark remains and some of the factory crossgrain can be seen. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! As a matter of fact this has never been taken down unlike so many of these that travel from show to show. As a matter of fact it's never been in a collection before! The blade rates Exc+. You can still see the "Ernst Rohm" name has been removed! There is a but of spotting and witness marks from where the runners rested for the past 75 years. The brown anodized scabbard looks good. It has no dents. The solid nickel fittings are honestly worn. If you look at the lower fitting you can see that the screws have been replaced and the ball has been filled in to repair a hit. This was done period IMHO as this is how it came to me and they all show period wear. The solid nickel crossguards look great and have nicely patinaed with time. The reverse of the lower fitting is Gau stamped: "No". The brown multi-toned hard wood grip also looks great! There are some pressure marks throughout, but no chips, splits or cracks. The beautifully detailed solid nickel eagle has a perfect fit. The roundel also has a perfect fit and retains all of its enamel. Finally nicely finishing this one is a matching early 3 pc hanger. A nice Lazy man's SA partial Rohm dagger by a rarely seen maker, available for purchase!
