A fine maker marked bar! This early two piece medal comes with a 2nd Class Iron Cross and a 1939 pattern Order of the German Eagle with Swords. The Iron Cross is in excellent condition with a nicely patinaed border and near perfect paint! The order of the German eagle is nickel silver based. It has a portion of one of the swords broken off. It continues to hold nice silver wash. The awards are held on to a steel based ribbon bar that is covered to the obverse with the appropriate stitched on rayon ribbons. The reverse is covered in a green felt and has a stitched on Godet ribbon. It also shows the appropriate catch pin and hinge assembly. It shows age toning and wear throughout. A cool medal bar!
