Ok, before I get into the description I need to explain a bit of history on this thing. These daggers were made up POST-WAR. They were made immediately following the war in the 1945-1950 period and were an attempt by Solingen to provide souvenirs. Still a cool piece of history! The blade on this one looks fair. The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "BB & AA Solingen Germany" (Bolte & Anschutz) maker marks are nicely executed! The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc+. It shows heavy age grey. The zinc based, nickel-silver plated crossguards good. The brown plastic grip remains in excellent condition! No chips, cracks or splits! The aluminum eagle retains beautiful details. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. These were sold in the period without scabbards. Someone made a brown leather scabbard for this one. An interesting dagger!
