A good looking piece! The plated blade on this one looks great. The plating gives it a nice mirror like finish. The tip comes to a perfectly sharp point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates Exc++. It shows surface scratches throughout along with some spotting throughout. The brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks good. It shows some oxidization spotting yet it remains completely dent free! It continues to hold 30%+ paint coverage. The original throat retaining screw remains intact and the ball is perfectly round. The zinc-alloy based, nickel-silver plated hilt looks good. The platting has thinned yet retains 70%+ coverage. The black checkered bakelite grip plates are in near perfect condition. Both plates are tightly secured to the hilt with two lightly oxidized steel rivets. The button continues to work well! This one comes with a red felt plug to the mortice slot and a blackened frog. It is maker marked and dated A great inexpensive way to add to your collection!
