Nice example here in brass. The plated blade rates NM being bright and clean. The blade is stamped with the correct mid-period Eickhorn maker mark and retains it's factory buffer. This pattern is illustrated in Angolia's reference pg 79. The black enamel painted scabbard is dent-free. It has good original paint with wear, crazing and minor scratches, I have shown you the worse of. The paint is better than 98%. This is a brass based example with honest wear. The top of the hilt expertly covers the tang. Look at the hand enhanced acorns and oak leaves that are all hand punched. The grip is black celluloid and is in perfect shape without chips or cracks. It is wrapped with triple aluminum wire that really stands out against the black celluloid. The ferule has lost some of it's gilt.
