Nice example here in gilded brass. The plated blade rates Exc+/Exc++ being bright and clean with one blemish about 6" up from the reverse tip. The blade is stamped with the correct mid-period Eickhorn maker mark and retains it's factory buffer. This pattern is illustrated in Angolia's reference pg 79. The black enamel painted scabbard is dent-free. It has good original paint with 99% paint retained. There is light honest period wear to the whole thing. The top of the hilt expertly covers the tang. Look at the hand enhanced acorns and oak leaves that are all hand punched! The grip is black celluloid with a wee hairline without chips. It is wrapped with triple wire. This is a great sword with am Army style eagle placed in front of sun rays depicting the new dawn of the Wehrmacht.
