Württemberg - Police Sword by Eickhorn

Rare sword here! The 29" blade rates NM being bright and clean with the original matte finish. There is just the slightest evidence of fingerprint stains to the obverse. The blade is stamped with the early Eickhorn logo and correctly peaned over to secure it to the hilt. The black leather scabbard has two impressed lines down each side and all stitching remains intact. The solid nickel undented fittings are numbered and secured with brass staples. Wonderful undamaged grip retains its original finger loop. The hilt is fashioned from again solid nickel matching the patina of the scabbard. The underside of the D-guard is marked with a depiction of the 3 black antlers in the Württemburg coat of arms. It's pattern 1560 Polizei- Wachtmeister Sabel für Württemberg see the last image from the 1930 Eickhorn catalog. Many thanks to the guys who helped me with this one and Gary for the image!
