Here's an example out of a US Vet's estate we recently acquired. The blade on this one rates Exc++. There's a couple hits to the cutting edge and there are runner marks along with the common spots where the runners have rested. Most of the bluing is intactThe blade is stamped "DOT". The scabbard is marked "8460e" matching the blade. There are a few oxidation spots on the scabbard body but no dents but the anodized finish looks great and the fit is perfect! The crossguard is stamped "128"and the grip plates are secured with two spanner nuts. The brown hardwood grip plates are in decent shape with bumps but no chips or splits!
