Given to individuals who donated in a charitable collection to assist mothers. It is constructed out of a die stamped bronze base that has been gold gilded. The shield shaped obverse features a national eagle clutching a mobile swastika in its talons (left) beside a mother holding her child beside her (right) and above "N.S. Wohlfahrt Spende Für Die Mütter-Verschickung" (N.S. Welfare donation for the mothers - deportation). The hollow back reverse has a horizontally soldered on tombak pin that remains in well working condition. It has a small bend to it. It measures approximately 1 inch wide by 1 5/8 inches tall. Nice detail and gold gilding remain!
