Always careful buying Camo stuff. This one came directly from the US Vet's family and has never been in a collection. Here we have a combat worn example of a M16 Helmet. The shell is constructed out of a stamped piece of steel sheet metal that has been green textured pained. The shell has a folded over edge, two separately applied air vents and three split rivets. The interior has one of the three leather sections remaining. The exterior continues to retain 90% of its original paint! The helmet is marked "R1275" to the interior top and is also maker marked and sized "ET64" (Eisenhuttenwerk, Thale). A great piece! that is well marked.
