Here's a nice example that's been releathered. This is an Eickhorn marked example with aluminum based hilt fittings with gilded swastikas. The plated blade on this one has been cleaned and rates Exc+. The blade is nice and bright but there are some dots of pitting remaining, the tip is perfect the fit is perfect. The blue leather pebbled buffer pad remains intact. The scabbard has been releathered and looks great! Coverage is 100% and in the correct blue Moroccan leather. The fittings look good. There are some minor scratches throughout and screws are intact. The aluminum chain is complete with 6 ringlets to the top and 8 to the bottom. The scabbard / crossguard fit looks good. The grip's leather is replaced matching the scabbard! The triple wire wrap is perfect! Guys 99% of people would never pick up that this has been releathered, it`s just superior work here. In a few years this will all tone down and it will be near impossible to tell, regardless I ALWAYS share any restoration work. Overall this is a great example at a fair price!
